I celebrated a BIG birthday this weekend (!) – many thanks to all of you who sent me birthday wishes – and it got me thinking about staying youthful in mind and body.
There are still many things I want to do and achieve in life and I need to keep my energy high for the next 40 years to help me! So, I thought I would share with you some of my favourite age defying yoga postures:
CAT – for a flexible spine and mind.
SUN SEQUENCE – keeps all my body systems working optimally, enhances a positive outlook on life, boosts energy levels and generally stops the physical body going south!
LION – tones the facial muscles and firms the jawline. Refreshes the eyes and brings clarity of mind.
And my new favourite posture…SHOULDERSTAND – often described as the queen of all asanas, old yoga texts state that for “the one who practises shoulderstand, time is reversed”! I’m planning on stopping when I reach 28.
