Introducing Mazeena, one of Inside Out’s yoga teachers in West Yorkshire.

We asked her the same questions as our other yoga teachers. Here’s how she responded.

  1. How long have you been practicing yoga and how long have you been teaching?
    I’ve been practicing for about  7 years, teaching for 5 (April 2017).
  2. What first got you into yoga?
    My Mum used to go to class, I went with her once and was hooked.
  3. What is your favourite yoga pose or practice?
    I love EBR1 (Energy Block Release Sequence 1) because straight after the sequence I can feel all the stiffness dissipate from head to toe.
  4. …and which is your least favourite?
    The Wheel, as I struggle with it!
  5. Any other interests or hobbies? Drawing, painting, cake decorating and watching my 3 boys play football
  6. Can you describe one of your yoga classes in three words?
    Friendly, relaxing, soothing.
  7. Do you have any advice for someone thinking about trying Dru Yoga for the first time?
    Give it a try, and take a note of how you feel before and after the class.
